The Juno 6-inch Incandescent Remodel Housing, model IC21R, is an IC-rated (Insulation Contactable) housing that allows for complete coverage with insulation. This shallow remodel housing is specifically designed for applications where the backside of the ceiling is inaccessible.

With a height of 5-3/4 inches, the IC21R is suitable for use in 2x6 construction and is an ideal solution where vertical installation space is limited. The housing features a floating socket with a spring, accommodating various trim installations, and includes a medium base porcelain socket with a nickel-plated copper screw shell that accepts an incandescent light bulb. The bulb wattage ratings and apertures are determined by the selected trim.

Installing the IC21R is made easy by the factory-installed remodel springs, which can accommodate ceiling thicknesses up to 1-3/4 inches. The housing is supplied with a pre-wired junction box that has five 1/2-inch knockouts with pry-out slots, four non-metallic sheathed cable connectors, and a ground wire.

The IC21R's shadow-free, knife-edge trim design blends seamlessly into the ceiling, allowing for architectural continuity with Aculux trims (sold separately). The housing is UL Listed, C-UL/CSA certified for damp and wet locations, and approved for through-branch wiring, with a maximum of four 12-AWG conductors. It is also wet location listed when used with a 241 trim.
